Inspired by generations who built with less, restored beauty to the broken, and seen a vision where others did not.

Mt. Empire Holdings was born long before it ever became a business.

I was raised by my grandparents Jimmy and Deborah Terry, two quiet entrepreneurs who ran Mt. Empire Auction Sales. They didn’t come from money, and they didn’t chase trends. They worked hard, showed up early, stayed late, and believed that honest work and community mattered.

Every week, I watched them walk through barns, basements, storage units, and forgotten places that others had written off. They had an uncommon gift: they could see value where others saw only broken, abandoned, or worn-out things. With patience and effort, they restored those items, gave them dignity, and connected them with new owners who needed them.

Nothing was wasted. Nothing was beneath respect.

That way of seeing the world shaped me.

Growing up, life wasn’t easy. Loss, instability, and hardship were constant companions. But through it all, my grandparents modeled something powerful: stewardship. They didn’t just accumulate things, they cared for them. They didn’t just run a business rather they served people. Their auction wasn’t only a place to buy and sell; it was a hub of connection, trust, and community.

Mt. Empire Holdings now exists to carry that legacy forward.

Today my wife and I invest in real assets, homes, buildings, and properties that often go overlooked or undervalued. Not because they’re perfect, but because they’re solid at their core. Like my grandparents taught me, we believe that with discipline, vision, and care, broken or neglected things can be made whole again, and given a new purpose.

We are here to honor the past by restoring things to life, creating community, serving others, and building a vision for our future.

This isn’t about quick flips or hollow growth. It’s about building something lasting and creating stability.
